Polls Are Closed: What’s Next?!
Polls will start to close in some states as early as 6pm on Election Day and results will trickle in throughout the evening and into the next day. With razor thin margins in decisive battleground states and a slew of election lawsuits already filed, we likely won’t know which candidate won the most electoral votes for days or even weeks after polls close. And with the Trump campaign already working to cast doubt on the results, we may very well find ourselves in a contested election scenario as contentious or even more contentious than the 2020 cycle.
Tuesday, November 5
8pm to Midnight
33 Grant Circle NW
After the last door has been knocked and phone call has been made join us at the Movement Infrastructure Project to start looking ahead at what’s next.
Doors to the space open at 8pm. We’ll broadcast the results from multiple networks on the screens in our auditorium for folks who want to stay glued to the TV throughout the night. We’ll also have quieter space away from the results for folks to chill out and be together. And we’ll hold space for informal meetings to plot, plan and dream about what’s next.
This event is free, but we ask that you PLEASE RSVP to help us guess how many people to expect.
And we know that regardless of the outcome of this election we have a lot of work ahead of us. The Movement Infrastructure Project is an all volunteer project funded entirely by small donations and contributions from folks using our gear. So if you’re able we ask that you make a meaningful donation to invest in our shared movement infrastructure and help us keep our doors open.
