Debate Watch Party

You could watch the first Harris-Trump debate by yourself on your couch. Or… you could watch it with:

  • Us!

  • A bunch of friends!

  • Bingo cards!

  • A panel of experienced movement organizers sharing their wisdom!

On September 10, join us at MIP HQ for a panel on the organizing possibilities of the 2024 election followed by a debate watching party.

  • 7:30pm: Panel: The 2024 Election and Opportunities for Grassroots Social Movements

  • 9pm: Debate Watch Party with Bingo

The fine print: Tickets are $10 each, plus an encouraged donation of $5-$50. MIP is a volunteer-run organization that has supported dozens of movement events in the short time we’ve been active. Your generous donation will allow us to pay our rent, continue to lend out gear at low rates, replace damaged gear, host trainings for the community, etc. To make things easier at the door, we recommend taking a screenshot when you purchase your ticket.

The 2024 Election and Opportunities for Grassroots Social Movements

With just eight weeks to the 2024 election the races for the House, Senate and White House are neck-and-neck and the stakes couldn’t be higher. The outcome of this election will be hugely consequential for our communities and the future of our country.

Elections aren’t just an opportunity to put people who reflect our values into office, they’re an opportunity for our social movements to organize and build power, by taking advantage of the energy and momentum of the moment to bring new people into our movements, making demands of the politicians who are asking for our support, or demonstrating our people power by turning our base out vote.

On this panel we’ll hear from a range of movement leaders about how they’re building grassroots power this election cycle that will last well beyond when polls close on November 5th.
